MAIN STREET • RANGELY, COLORADO 81648 <br />PHONE 970/675-5033 • FAX 970/675-8709 <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED <br />DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology proposes [o approve Technical <br />Revision Application Na. 42 (TR-42) for the <br />Deserado Mine (Permit No. C-81-0181, <br />submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc. <br />The purpose of the revision is to combine <br />the two existing refuse piles RP-2/3 and <br />RP-4 into one pile. <br />The Deserado Mine is a underground coal <br />mine located in Rio Blanco County, ap- <br />pr~ximately 7 miles NE oC Rangely, Colo- <br />rado. Coal interest is federal, and the sur- <br />face effected is federal and private land. <br />The permit area encompasses epproxi-, <br />mately 10,829.0 acres. - <br />This~proposed decision is based one find- <br />ing that the proposed operation will eom- <br />ply with all requirements of the Colorado <br />Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Sec- <br />tion 34-33-1Ol,et seq., C.R.S., end the regu- <br />lations promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including <br />stipulations, are on file for public inspec- <br />tion at,the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology, Room 215, Centennial Build- <br />ing; 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colo- <br />rado 80203. Persons with an interest that <br />may be adversely affected by the proposed <br />decision may request a formal hearing <br />before the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />on the proposed decision.
