Lachhead
E~ecmive Direcror
Michael B Long
Division Direcror
The Division recently sent you a reclamation cost summary form (along with an inspection report) which
showed the current estimated cost of reclaiming the 9.8 acres of disturbance at the referenced mine site.
There is an error in the new estimate that I discovered yesterday while reviewing the file. 1 inadvertently
used the wrong cost of manure in the revegetation calculation (task number 4). So, therefore, I
recalculated revegetation costs using the correct cost of manure ($3.00/ton).
Enclosed is a corrected reclamation cost summary form with the corrected estimated reclamation casts.
As noted, the estimated cost to reclaim the 9.8 acre site is $32,292.00 (instead of $40,707.00). Please
make note of this.
You will have 30 days to review the new estimated reclamation cost figures. If, during this 30 day
period, you can demonstrate to the Division's satisfaction that the financial warranty requirement is too
high, the requirement will be reduced.
If you have any questions, please give me a call.
Sincerely,
~i.t.iCt7~d 0~.~~sZZ.
