BANTA, Director <br />July 29, 1988 <br />Subhendu and Bishakha Datta <br />6252 01 de Stage Road <br />Boulder, Colorado 80302 <br />Subject: Renewal of the Red Canyon Mine's Permit, C-81-034 <br />Dear Mr. & Mrs.Datta: <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division proposed the renewal of Mining <br />Permit C-81-034 on July 29, 1988, allowing reclamation operation at the Red <br />Canyon Mines under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act of 1979. The permit was issued to Grand Mesa Coal Company, <br />743 Horizon Court, Suite 205, Grand Junction, Colorado 81506 for their mining <br />operation located in portions of Sections 2, 11, 12, l3, 14 in Township 135, <br />Range 95 W, 6th Prime Meridian in Delta County. <br />A copy of the proposed decision is available at the Delta County Clerk and <br />Recorder's office, Delta County Courthouse, 5th and Palmer, Delta, Colorado, <br />81416 and at the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division offices in Denver. <br />Written comments regarding the proposed permit renewal may be submitted and <br />additional information obtained from the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Division, 1313 Sherman, RM. 215, Denver, Co. 80203, phone (303) 866-3567. <br />Sincerely, <br />(~c~in.p ClJ ~ ,~~ <br />Catherine W.
