Additional Ouestions and Comments
10. On permit application page App-B-2 and on pages Exh 8-17 and App-B-2 ofTR-43, a hydrologic
soil condition of "fair" is used for disturbed land. However, for a curve number of 87 and a soil
type of C, it would appear that the hydrologic condition for bare or nearly bare ground should be
"poor". Please change "fair" to "poor" if you agree.
1 1. Please revise Map 21-1 to show that ditch G-1 was changed to ditch D-4.
12. Please explain or revise if this is a typo error.
13. In the V-Ditch Design table on page Exh 8-29i in the May 17, 2006 submittal, there is a maximum
ditch grade of 800 % for ditch D4. The Division needs a revised Appendix A in Volume IX,
as mentioned in item number 2 above, in order to do the cost estimate. As soon as the reclamation cost
estimate is calculated, a copy will be forwarded to BRL for review.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
seph .Dash
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Jim Stover P.E.
