Long <br />RE: Bennett Gravel Pit, Permit No. M-79-166, Conversion No. 1 Preliminary Adequacy Review°'s'on Director <br />Dear Mr. and Ms. Bennett: <br />The Division has conducted a preliminary adequacy review of your application to convert the Bennett <br />Gravel Pit to a 112c operation. Listed below are comments and concerns identified during that <br />review. Please respond to these comments and concerns as soon as possible, so the Division can <br />issue a decision on this application. Your comments must be received no later than December 12, <br />1997 to allow time for review and further comment, if necessary. <br />ADEQUACY COMMENTS <br />EXHIBIT A -LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br />1. Several of the legal description bearings and/or distances do not coincide with those indicated <br />on the application maps. <br />Please revise the references on either the map or the legal description so that they match and <br />correctly describe the permit area. <br />EXHIBIT C -PRE-MINING AND MINING PLAN MAP <br />1. The permit no. on all maps is incorrect. <br />Please correct the permit no. on all maps. <br />2. The application maps are not signed. <br />Please ensure all maps are signed by the qualified preparer. <br />3. The facilities area must connect to the excavation area. <br />Please indicate the current, and any proposed, connecting haul roads for this operation. <br />4. Please include the mining phases on the mine plan map with direction of excavation in each <br />phase indicated. <br />5. The nature, depth and thickness of deposit, underlying material and overlying material should be <br />
