MINREC 2NC.
743 HORIZON COURT, SUITE 205
CRAND JUNCTION, C4 81506
BLUE RIBBON MINE
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
sss
February 9, 1990
Matthew S. Hayes ~~~~~~~~
Mined Land Reclamation Division
215 Centennial Building
13] 3 Sherman Street FFg 1 ~ i99p
Denver, Colorado 80203-2273
MINED ~qhp
Re: Application for a Technical Revision; `~ECLAMATIpN pIVISIOp~
Permit C-81-047
Dear Mr. Hayes:
Enclosed is MINREC's application for a technical revision to
revise the revegetation success standards for the Blue Ribbon
Mine. Pages 111, 112, 113 & 113i have been revised and are in-
cluded with this transmittal.
The success standard far the upland area above Hubbard Creek was
changed from a shrubland standard to a grassland standard. This
revision was made I) because of the success of the grass com-
munit}~ in the area, and 2) the elk and deer are browsing the area
extensively. I believe this grassland area improves the
wildlife habitat in the local area surrounding the mine site.
A rill and gullet' inspection plan and a plan to inspect the
upland slope above Hubbard Creek for stability were included on
page 113i.
If you have any questions regarding this Application, please
call.
Sincerely,
~=%'~
;;'
' Jim Stover, P.E.
Chief Engineer
