TR-98 proposes to revise the underground
access to the E-seam by driving submains to the east in Section 28, T 13 S, R 90 W, turning
north in the NW '/a, NW '/a, Section 27, T 13 S, R 90W, and then comiecting to the existing shaft
in Sylvester Gulch (in Section 22).
Portions of the mine plan change underlie national forest system (NFS) lands in sections 27 and
28 described above. This change reduces the amount of NFS lands that would be subsided by
longwall panel extraction. We do not have any specific concerns on this revision, and therefore
offer our.concurrence to this technical revision.
Please contact Liane Mattson at the telephone number listed above should you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
J~ JOSEPH G.
