iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Davitl H. Getches. Executive Director
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVID C. SHELTON, Director
Richard D Lamm
Governor
December 26, 1985
Mr. Martin Holmes
Manager Permit and Regulatory Compliance
Kaiser Coal Corporation
102 South Tejon Street, Suite 500
Colorado Springs, Colorado 80901
Re: Application for Permit Transfer
Dear Mr. Holmes:
The Division has reviewed the permit transfer information submitted by Kaiser
Coal Corporation. There are a couple minor items that were not addressed.
First, Rule 2.03.10 was not addressed in the application. This Rule requires
a list of all other licenses and permits needed by the applicant to conduct
the proposed underground mining activities. Second, a telephone number should
given for the resident agent.
Assuming this information is provided the transfer application will be
contingent on the following items:
1. an acceptable letter of credit in the amount of E575,000;
2. documentation of the legal right to enter; and
3. a copy of Kaiser Coal Corporation's liability insurance.
MLRD will also check nationally to see if Kaiser Coal Corporation has any
unpaid civil penalties, unabated violations or unpaid reclamation fees before
a permit is issued. Any of these items would preclude permit issuance.
Please contact me, if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~. ~.~ ~
Fred R.
