The Forest Service has reviewed MCC's response to questions: <br />#5 - pg. 2.04-8 - please add reference to methane drainage wells. <br />#9 - pg. 2.09-30 - please add mapped faults to the Map 9. <br />#10 - pg. 2.04-39 - please discuss whether any indications have been <br />identified of surface or groundwater resources in the SOD area being <br />associated with faults. <br />#13 - pg. 2.04-41- 1st paragraph, "age" is more appropriately referred to <br />as "residence time," consistent with the Mayo report. <br />#48 - pg. 2.04-156 - please include US Forest Service sensitive plant <br />species to the list. <br />#50 - pg. 2.04-160, Table 26 - please include wild turkey (Meleagris <br />gallopavo). <br />#51 - pg. 2.09-169 - add the sharp-shinned hawk (ACCipeter striatus) and <br />on pg. 2.09-171 - add the boreal toad (BUfo boreas boreas) <br />#52 - pg. 2.09-171 - last sentence should read, "No designated lynx habitat <br />key linkage areas have been mapped in the vicinity of the lease area. <br />The Forest Service believes MCC has adequately addressed the above <br />comments. <br />However, our letter to CDMG on June 4, 2004 contained several comments that <br />were not address by MCC in their Dec, 2009 response. Since they were not <br />addressed by MCC, these comments were rolled into our latest comment letter <br />dated Jan. 28, 2005 (sent by email and hard copy) This recent letter <br />also included additional comments with respect to adequacy within the PR-10 <br />package. <br />I hope this clarifies our recent correspondence and meets your needs for <br />record keeping.
