<br /> <br /> <br />• Page S Decemt~er 23, 1998 <br />GROUND WATER COMPLIANCE PROTOCOL <br />1. The Division will be notified immediately of any evidence of a possible violation of <br />ground water permit condition(s) and a copy of the analysis of th~~ sample <br />showing the possible violation will be provided to the Division within 5 clays of its <br />receipt by the Operator. <br />2. The initial verification sample would be taken within 2 weeks of the receipt of the <br />analysis showing the possible violation. <br />3. The second verification sample would be taken within 2 weeks of the receipt of <br />the analysis of the initial verification sample, if evidence of a possible violation of <br />the permit condition(s) persists. <br />4. If compliance with the permit condition(s) is demonstrated by eithfar of the <br />verification samples, the Division will conclude that a violation of tFie permit <br />condition(s) has not occurred and regular monitoring of the compliaince well <br />would be resumed. <br />5. If compliance with the permit condition(s) has not been demonstrated by either of <br />the verification samples, then a possible violation may exist. <br />6. If evidence of the possible violation persists through the second vf~rification <br />sample, the Operator will provide to the Division, within 30 days of the receipt of <br />analysis of the second verification sample, a plan to bring the mine into <br />compliance with the permit condition(s) violated. <br />
