,~
May 28, 1992
Mr. John Leane
Ms. Doralyn Genova
Mr. Jim Spehar
Subject: Parkerson Construction
DeVries and 32 & C 1/2 Road Gravel Pits
Dear Commissioners:
I am writing this letter to urge you to reject both proposals
that Parkerson Construction has submitted for conditional use
permits (C33-92, 32 Road gravel pit and C34-92, 31 Road gravel
pit).
I object to these proposals for the following reasons:
1. These areas are zcned AFT. These operations are not
compatible with existing uses in this area, i.e., this is
prime agricultural farmland that the applicant is wanting to
mine and all lands surrounding these pits are being farmed.
2. We live in a rural environment and it is being destroyed by
these operations.
4. 32 Road at the intersections of C and C 1/2 Roads is very
dangerous. There are no accel/decel lanes and these trucks
impede oncoming traffic greatly.
5. There has been NO reclamation done
they want new permits so they won't
pits, i.e., using existing pits as
Thank you for your consideration in
homeowner with acreage I appreciate
neighborhood.
Sincerely,
ap ice Hayd n
312 31 1/2 Road
at either pit.
