BUILDERS AGGREGATE CO., INC.
915 WEST BEAVER AVENUE
FORT MORGAN, COLORADO 80701
303-6676334
Our gravel plant is entirely a wet operation. Ninety-five percent ofuur material is
transported and stockpiled by a slurn~ (water and gravel mix) through pipes. The other
5°ro is hauled to stock piles by a tandem axle dump truck.
Our surge bins are dumped three times a day, averaging five trips per time. 'fhe
haul distance is no more than I X110 leer to the stock piles. Each time a load of gravel is
hauled from the surge bins, the haul road is watered due to the excessive amount of water
that is constantly Flowing from the tailgate of the dump truck.
We remove appruximatek 5000 cubic cards of overburden and lop soil from our
pit area annually. It is inunediatek placed, with a scraper, over the areas that have
already bear mined. 'I here is minimal dust during this placentenl of lop soil and
overburden, due to the fact that this material is moist and within a couple of feet of the
water table. We have a 600(1 gallon ~~aler tanker with spray bars if it dues become
necessary to water down the area. We, also. place a cover of gravel ofapproximutely one
inch over this material to control dust until re-vegetation of this reclaimed area begins.
If there are any questions regarding our operation, please, contact me.
f3U11,DERS AGGREGn fE
'/ Jr1Iv1ES S.
