All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and <br />Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise surface coal mining operations at the Carbon <br />Junction Mine. The technical revision pertains to a proposed temporary <br />cessation of the mine operations in response to the lack of coal markets for <br />the mine. <br />The Carbon Junction Mine is located approximately 2.5 miles east of Durango, <br />Colorado, in the following described lands: <br />Portions of Section 33, Township 35 North, Range 9 West; <br />Section 33, Township 34 1/2 North, Range 9 West; and <br />Section 4, Range 34 North, Range 9 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Durango East and Loma Linda. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspec- <br />tion at the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 East Second Avenue, Durango, <br />Colorado.
