SHELTON, Director
MEMORANDUM
27 AD1~i 1 1987
T0: Brent Anderson ~ ~~ ~_
FROM: Jim Pendleton
RE: Bear No. 3 it Re wal Application
Pursuant to your request, I have reviewed the geotechnical aspects of the Bear
No. 3 mine application. None of the proposed amendments to the application
documents appear significant. The amendment to Map No. 9, entitled "Mine
Plan", add specificity to the text description within the original permit
application. underground development waste continues to be backstowed in the
workings of the 1st East Panel and non-coal waste continues to be disposed of
at an approved landfill, The applicant reouests that the annual subsidence
report deadline be specified as March ]5th, to which I have no objection.
I see no geotechnically-related amendments significant enough to require
amendment of the findings presented for the original Bear No. 3 permit
approval,
cc: Bob Liddle
a
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
