Fresh Water System Repair: Permit No. C-82-056 <br />Twentymile Coal Company is requesting a minor revision to the above referenced permit to <br />allow for the emergency repair to portions of the fresh water system. The repair is required to <br />allow for adequate fire protection in the underground mine, and the continued operation of the <br />mine. <br />In order to accomplish the repair a number of steps aze required, and they aze as follows: <br />1. use of backfill to dig holes to locate line break(s), <br />2. drill rig to drill out existing 8" PVC casing or drill new hole, <br />3. blading of access road into drill site, <br />4. deepening of site 114 spring, <br />5. installation of pump at site 114 spring, <br />6. installation of temporary surface water line, <br />7. installation of power poles and line, <br />8. blading of access road into pump sire, and <br />9. reclamation of above activities. <br />The minor revision reflects all of the above, and also provides a bond to cover these activities. <br />The bond has been estimated to be $5,900, and as of this date leaves TCC overbonded by <br />$165,712. <br />As we discussed, Twentymile appreciates the Division's willingness to work with us to get the <br />mine functioning efficiently.
