I ong <br />Divismn Direanr <br />Re: Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-81-014) <br />Technical Revision Application No. 30 <br />Refuse Pile Expansion <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the <br />Colorado Revised Statutes, that on April 23, 1998, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Southfield Mine was considered <br />complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Energy Fuels Coal, inc.. AI l review and comment periods as provided <br />in the Ac[ and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The revision application includes plans to expand the exis[in¢ coal refuse pile by 2.9 acres [o the southwest. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles south o(Florence. The permit area is Further described <br />as follows: <br />Mine Area: <br />Portions oFSec[ions l9, 30, and 31; Township 205, Range 69N oFthe 6th PM.; Sections 23, 24,25.26, and 36; Township 205, Range 70 W of <br />the 6th P.M. <br />Loadout: <br />Portions of Sections 17 and I8; Township 195, Range 69W of the 6th P. M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rockvale. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available Far public inspection at the Fremont Counry Courthouse, 615 Macon Avenue, Room <br />B-5, Canon City, CO 81212, and at the Division office.
