<br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision to <br />approve a technical revision application submitted by West Elk Coal Company, <br />(303) 929-5015, P.O. Box 591, Somerset, Colorado 81434 <br />The revision is to Mining Permit C-80-001 issued by the Dl vision in July 1981 <br />under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Act. <br />The revision application is to decrease the current five-year permit boundary <br />by 320 acres in the S/2 NW/4 and the SW/4 in Section 17, T13S; R90W, 6 P. M. <br />and the SE/4 NE/4 and the NE/4 SE/4 of Section 18, T13S, R90W, 6 P, M. The <br />surface is owned by Atlantic Richfield Company and Grand tdesa Properties <br />Company. All of the coal contained in these lands is covered by Federal Coal <br />Lease C-0117192 and has been conveyed to Bear Coal Company. The U. S. G. S. <br />7.5-minute'Bowie Quadrangle Topographic Map contains the land to be deleted <br />from the current Mt. Gunnison five-year permit area. <br />A copy of the permit revision is available for review at the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Division, Room 423, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, (3037 866-3567 and at the Gunnison County Courthouse, 200 East Virginia <br />Street, Gunnison, Colorado. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by this proposed <br />decision may submit a written request for a formal hearing to the Division <br />within ten days of this notice. <br />
