NCC Pit #1 <br />Extension Project Wetland Delineation,.We1d County, Colorado <br />NCC Pit #1 -Corps File No. 200080040 <br />Dear Mr. McKee: <br />On March 29 and April 26, 2004 Savage and Savage staff conducted a wetland <br />delineation at the NCC Pit #1 extension project site Located in Weld County, Colorado <br />that is slated for mineral extraction by Northem Colorado Constructors Inc. Savage and <br />~` Savage was contracted by Northern Colorado Constvctors Inc. to delineate the proposed <br />development site thought to contain potential waters of the United. States and potential <br />wetlands. The extension site contains approximately 70 acres located within a part of the <br />NE'/. of Section 24 in Township 2 North,. Range b7 West of the G's prime meridian, Weld <br />County, Colorado. The property is bounded on the north by a fence line, east by a <br />' portion of an old railroad grade and a fence line, south by a fence line, .and west by a <br />fence line. <br />A survey for wetlands and waters of the United States was conducted within the NCC <br />Pit #1 extension in Weld County, Colorado on Mazch 29 and Aprfl 26, 2004. A surface <br />water drainage skirts the west boundary of the site and flows across the northwest comer <br />of the site (feature D). Feature G is a cattail mazsh wetland that is adjacent to the surface <br />water drainage. Both the surface water drainage and the cattail marsh wetland are <br />jurisdictional features within the site. Wetlands depressions A, B, C, E, and F are all <br />isolated depressions that are not adjacent to or connected to the any tributary system. <br />Features H and I aze isolated surface Swale drainages that are not connected to a fributary <br />system or adjacent to a tributary system. All of the wetland depressions within the north <br />portion of the site and both isolated surface Swale drainages east of the cattail wetland <br />,~ <br />marsh are non jurisdictional wetland features <br />corresporntence dated March 9, 2001 finding no <br />and the NCC Pit #1 extension wetland delineation. <br />of the site.
