EXHIBIT J
Vegetation Information
The project site consists of pasture grass and ruderal species, with several small non-
jurisdictional wetland areas and two jurisdictional wetland areas present on the site. The
jurisdictional wetland areas are located in the southwest corner of the site (directly connected
wetland area) and in the northern portion of the site (Little Dry Creek). The wetland areas are
described in the attached delineation report by Savage and Savage and jurisdictional
determination from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. There will be no impact to jurisdictional
wetlands during the mining or reclamation activities.
Extensive areas of trees were not noted; however, there are a few mature Cottonwood (Populus
deltoides) trees located in the northern portion of the site.
The site was surveyed for mature Ute ladies'-tresses orchids in areas where suitable habitat
was observed during the wetland delineation activities. No mature orchids were present on the
site. Attached is the orchid survey report by Savage and Savage and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service concurrence letter.
M-2001-107
NCCI Pk pf
ORMS 112 Permd Amendment
87
