Design details for the sub-pad drainage system are <br />provided on the enclosed Drawings. <br />Two cleaz-water ditches will be constructed above the expanded pad area to divert <br />cleaz-water to the natural drainages and away from the coal pad. The diversion <br />ditches will be constructed as "V" ditches that aze approximately 2 feet deep with <br />2H:1 V side slopes. The diversion channels were sized to accommodate the surface <br />water flows generated from a 10-yeaz, 24-hour storm event. The ditch cross-section <br />is provided on Drawing 97010-OS and the location of the ditches are shown on <br />Drawing 97010-02. <br />Due to the expansion of the ROM pad, the existing ventilation fan for the reclaim <br />tunnel will be required to be relocated as shown on Drawings 97010-02 and 97010- <br />08. <br />MCC includes the following information and maps for the Division's consideration: <br />.Revised Map 53 (to be replaced in permit) <br />.Revised Map 54 (to be replaced in permit) <br />.Revised Map 58 (to be replaced in permit) <br />•WESTEC Drawings 97010-O1, 02, 03, 04, O5, 06, 07, and O8 (for the <br />Division's file) <br />As MCC would like to complete this construction during the next longwall move, in <br />mid-August, your prompt attention to this application would be appreciated.
