September 14, 2005
Not applicable to this revision.
The cover letter indicated that a propane storage tank would be placed on the 6 North Shaft
pad but no dimensions were provided. In other locations Twentymile Coal Company has
erected concrete cradles for fuel tanks on similar ancillary facilities. Please have the operator
provide information on the size of the propane tank proposed, and information regazding how
it will be stored. I.e. will the tank rest on concrete footers, etc.?
Not applicable to this revision.
4. I have concern regarding windrowing topsoil on the downhill slope of the access road. If the
operator chooses to use windrowed topsoil stockpiles, placement on the uphill slope provides
better protection of the topsoil resource. Rule 4.06.3(2). Adequate signage of the topsoil
stockpiles is necessary.
Topsoil piles will be on either end of the 2,450 foot-long road. Each 4,6000 cu yds. No longer
in windrows. See map EX16E-M1.
The total reclamation cost estimate for tasks specific to TR-48 is $166,395.00. Reclamation tasks
sheets aze included with this memo.
