Law, PE RECEIVED <br />SUBJECT: New Haul Road Culvert at Bear Creek MAR 1 1 2001 <br />DATE: 3-20-01 <br />CC• Ron Turner, K-S & Co. Dirislon of Minerals and Geology <br />Attached are preliminary plans for the new proposed crossing. The following aze design <br />assumptions for the culvert crossing: <br />• Design flow 25 yr flow - 1600 cfs (assumed 50% of ] 00 yr - 3200cfs) <br />• Hydraulic calcs aze based on HW of 45', tailwater of 5', and 2' of drop between <br />upstream and downstream inverts <br />• Haul road top width - 100' <br />• Sideslopes - 2:1 <br />• 25' extension of culverts at upstream and downstream ends of embankment <br />• Crossing location per site visit with Wendi Abbott on March 14, 2001 <br />• Wall thickness (minimum) is 12 guage based on 165 Ton equipment. 3 x 1 <br />corrugations. This design is being verified by manufacturer. <br />• Environmental permits (404 exemption) is in process by Holnam <br />
