The
wire mesh reinforced walls and floor will be six (") thick.
Seams will be sealed with a gasket designed for this
application to prevent any seepage. A portable 2,000 gallon
skid mounted metal tank will be placed within the
containment basin. The area has already been approved for surface
facilities and topsoil and subsoil have been removed and the
surface graveled. The reclamation costs of grading and
seeding the area have already been bonded.
Enclosed please find the application for MR-41 and three
copies each of Map 11 Surface Facilities and Roads East
Portal (Revised to show additional Fuel Storage), and
Exhibit 28 Schedule-MR41 (bonding requirements). I have
reviewed the description of the New Elk Surface facilities
in the permit, and believe no other changes are required.
