Gray, Gray Pit #2 (Permit No. M-2005-012) (CHS #45185)
Dear Mr. Oswald:
Thank you for your correspondence dated January 2l, 2007 (received by our office on January 24)
concerning the amendment application to the permit listed above.
It is our opinion that the proposed amendment to the permit will have no effect on cultural resources
since it concerns a reduction in permitted acreage and will not involve any new ground disturbance or
otherwise alter previously approved permit conditions.
If archaeological resources are discovered during project activities, work must be interrupted until the
resources have been evaluated in terms of the National Register of Historic Places eligibility criteria (36
CFR 60.4) in consultation with our office.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment. If we may be of further assistance, please contact Greg
Wolff, Section ] 06 Compliance Coordinator, at (303) 866-4674.
Sincerely,
..~ ~ ~~
eorgianna Contiguglia
State Historic Preservation Officer
GC/GA W
