Cottony <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resourm Trustee <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, <br />of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on July 1, 2004, an application to revise coal mining opetations at the McClane Canyon <br />Mine was considered complete for the proposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Lodestar Energy, Inc.. All review and <br />comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />This revision would incorporate mine plan and reclamation plan modifications and clarifications in response to DMG Midterm <br />Review of the permit. <br />The Underground wal mining operation is on land located approximately 20 miles North of Loma, Colorado. The permit area <br />is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 16, 21, 27, and 28, T7S, R102W, 6th PM, all in Garfield County. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Howard Canyon & Garvey Canyon. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of <br />publication of this nofice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Mesa County Clerk and <br />Recorder s Officq 544 Rood, Grand Junction, Colorado, and at the Division office. To provide written comments, contact the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3562 If you have <br />questions or need additional information, contact me in Grand Junction at (970) 242-5025. In order for us to comply with <br />regulatory time flames, we request that comments be submitted within fifteen (IS) days of this letter.
