The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4,
of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on July 1, 2004, an application to revise coal mining opetations at the McClane Canyon
Mine was considered complete for the proposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Lodestar Energy, Inc.. All review and
comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
This revision would incorporate mine plan and reclamation plan modifications and clarifications in response to DMG Midterm
Review of the permit.
The Underground wal mining operation is on land located approximately 20 miles North of Loma, Colorado. The permit area
is further described as follows:
Portions of Sections 16, 21, 27, and 28, T7S, R102W, 6th PM, all in Garfield County.
The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Howard Canyon & Garvey Canyon.
The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of
publication of this nofice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Mesa County Clerk and
Recorder s Officq 544 Rood, Grand Junction, Colorado, and at the Division office. To provide written comments, contact the
