BANTA, Director
October 17, 1989
Mr. Terrell K. Johnson
Environmental Engineer
Cyprus Empire Corporation
P.O. Box 68
Craig, Colorado 81636
RE: Bond Release Request for Craig Town Loadout, Permit File No. C-81-044
Dear Mr. Johnson:
The Division has received your request for performance bond release (Phases I,
II and III) on reclamation activities performed at the Craig Town Loadout.
The application was deemed incomplete on October 16, 1989. Most of the
required information was contained in the application. However, there are a
few items missing which will need to be submitted before we can call the
application complete and proceed with the bond release. These are: Date
permit was approved, Bond Company and Bond Number. A description of results
achieved as they relate to the approved reclamation plan and criteria used in
the determination, a post-mining topography map, a map showing revegetated
areas, and a map showing topsoil replacement depths.
To assist you in making sure all necessary information for a bond release
application is received, a memo detailing the bond release procedures and
application requirements has been enclosed. The requirements for release on
an industrial site is less stringent than other areas and sane discretion may
be used on exactly what information is needed.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Anthony J.
