DESERADO MINE. PERMIT NO. C-8t-018
Dear Mr. Mathews:
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I am responding to your letters of May 14 and May 24, 1996. Your letters deal with WFU's request
to revise subsidence and hydrologic monitoring programs.
WFU agrees with Mr. Perxileton's recommendation regarding the subsidence monitoring. We will
continue visual inspection above RP-1 twice a year. An aerial photogrammetric subsidence survey
will be conducted if an unanticipated significant surtace movement is observed above RP-1, and 'rf
directed by DMG. Such survey shall be completed and a subsidence map submitted to DMG within
six months of DMG's request, Pages III-24 and III-25 of the permit have been revised to reflect the
above commitment.
We also agree with your comments regarding the hydrologic monitoring in Lease C-8424 and C-8425
with some amendment. We request that the water sampling be limited Zo ifte middle {Cp81 ftttie Zone)
of the watts.
