L.P. (C-81-019) Technical Revision No. 54 Request for the Extension of Mining into Section 17, T3N, R93W. Dear Mr. Walker: The purpose of this letter, as we discussed August 15 on the telephone, is to request Technical Revision No. 54 to facilitate a modification to the Colowyo mining and reclamation plan by a minor extension of the Section 16 pit operation into Federal coal located in Section 17, T3N, R93W . Since the minting and reclamation plan was modified in Technical Revision No. 53 (TR-53), Colowyo has determined that the coal cropline likely extends approximately 200 feet further to the northwest than was originally thought. This modification would allow Colowyo to avoid bypassing the coal that lies outside the mining limit as delineated in TR-53 and thereby creating the inherent hazard of spontaneous combustion of the exposed coal. The proposed modification of the mining limit is within the disturbance and topsoil removal limits as approved in TR-53. Colowyo strongly believes this modification is insignificant and could be handled as a Minor Revision but are submitting this package in the form of a Technical Revision if the Division decides it is warranted to handle it as such. This application consists of the following information. 1) Map 23 - Mineglan All other environmental resources information for the Permit area have been addressed and are provided in the body of the PAP for C-81-019.
