A shallow 1:1 cut, buttressed with large rock was made at the base, then was
completed as a 2:1 cut (upper slope) to allow sufficient cover over the power line. This Minor
Revision (No. 174) provides the stability analysis for the steeper, buttressed portion of cut and to
revise the ditch Dl-2 design to asphalt rather than a shotcrete design (see the SedCAD design
attached).
The stability analysis was completed by Harding Lawson Associates and is attached. The analysis
shows that a factor of safety of at least 1.3 is achieved, as required, by the as-built configuration.
Please contact me should you have questions.
Sincerely,
~Cr7 ~/ G~eZ~
Kathleen G.
