MANAGEMENT
The DMG's letter dated October 3, 2001 requested an estimate of the water depletion
anticipated in remaining reclamation work on disturbed areas of the permit. Enclosed is
amended page 3-93 that explains the consumptive use of water at the Coal Ridge No. 1
Mine. The calculation is based on published data supplied by the NRCS and the Division
of Water Resources. The NRCS supplied an Estimated Seasonal and Monthly
Consumptive Use of Crops table. The Division of Water Resources supplied an isopach
of the average lake evaporation in Colorado. Both the table and isopach are enclosed.
Enclosed is an application for a minor revision to incorporate amended page 3-93 into the
permit. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J. E. Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
