I have
discussed the matter with Susan McCannon, and we must make the
following recommendations
The intake structure is apparently a mine related structure, in
addition to a domestic water intake for the Town of Somerset.
Because of the connection with the Sanborn Creek Mine operation,
the activity must be approved as part of Permit C-81-022. The
construction, and subsequent structure would be considered
disturbed area, and must occur within an approved permit boundary.
For this reason, we must request a Technical Revision, which
includes an incidental boundary change, a revised legal
description, and
appropriate figures/maps. It would also be important to include any
updated water use calculations, and .other agency approvals.
We understand that timing is crucial, and we will endeavor to
approve your proposal as soon as possible. Please call with any
questions.
Sincerely,
r
~' ~--
` David~Berry
Senkdr` Environmental
Protection Specialist
