Long <br />Montrose, CO 81402 Division Director <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 2 (RN-2) <br />Hamilton Mine (Permit No. C-1991-078) <br />Deaz Montrose County Commissioners: <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to Approve a renewal <br />application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Honeywood Coal <br />Company on June 14, 2001, for the Hamilton Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of this notice by the <br />Division in the San Miguel Basin Forum. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 3 miles southeast of Naturita, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Portions of Section 33, T46N, R15W, NMPM. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in [he Division offices a[ [he above address and at <br />the Montrose County Clerk and Recorder's Office.
