Gunnison No. 1 Mine Permit C-007-80
Dear Ms. Beville:
The Division has completed its review of your mid-term review responses dated
March 30, August 29, November 5, and December 28, 1984. Only one remaining
concern was noted by our staff.
The response to the barrier pillar issue had two deficiencies. WECC must
clarify the status of the projected workings in Sec. 17, T13S, R90W.
Secondly, WECC must evaluate the stability of the worst case barrier pillar
situation reflecting a worst case hydraulic head. Both of these concerns are
outlined in the enclosed memo from Jim Pendleton of our staff.
When these items have been satisfactorily resolved your mid-term responses
will have been completed. In order to terminate the mid-term process WECC
needs to process all responses as a technical revision to allow for public
review and comment. This involves publishing a notice of completeness once in
a local newspaper and then publishing a notice of our decision 2-3 weeks later.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me.
Sincerely,
.,. ._
- Robert G.
