Public Notice <br />Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its Roadside <br />North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-8i-041. The proposed revision clarifies the <br />interim drainage control plan for the South Portal. An explanation is provided to indicate <br />how drainage will be routed to Ponds 8 and 9 until the ponds are removed. The size of <br />Pond 9 was checked to assure it will contain the flow from the interim drainage basins. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximatelythree miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the <br />Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado <br />River and I-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />T10S; R98W., 6'~ P.M.: Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35 <br />T11S, R98W., 6~' P.M.: Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 1A <br />T11 S, R97W., Bw P.M.: Sections 6, 7, 18 <br />T1 S, R2E, Ute P.M.: Section 1 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk <br />and Recorder's office, 544 Road, Grand Junction, CO, and at the offices of the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866-3567. <br />W ritien comments regarding this application may be submitted to and addRional information <br />may be obtained from the Division of Minerals and Geology at the above address. <br />lea-d 500/500'd OOl-1 9lSl 14Z OLB a~iddo a131d moitaunr arrves swa~voad VYd44~10 ZO-t0-10 <br />
