MANAGEMENT
The DMG's letter dated July 2, 2004 transmitted its adequacy comments regarding the SO-4, Succession
of Operator, for Bowie No. 1 Mine. The following are Bowie Resources Limited's responses to the DMG's
comments and concerns:
Rule 2.03.4
5. The Division has three additional questions:
a) The owners of record of the coal to be mined, as listed on page 6 of Section 2.03 of the
submittal dated June 15, 2004, do not appear on revised Map 9-5. Please update this
map accordingly.
BRL -Map 9-5 was revised to show BLM, BRL and Pavlisick and McKee
ownership.
b) There are three subsurface owner entries that appear on pages 11 and 12 of Section 2.03
that do not appear on Map 9-5. The entries are Oscar E. Osteen and Freda M. Osteen,
Robert Hoelscher and Randall W. Leacock. Please rectify this discrepancy.
BRL - A note was added below each of the names, Osteen, Hoelscher
and Leacock, explaining they own minerals other than coal and are not
shown on Map 9-5. Enclosed are amended pages 11, 12 and 13.
c) The name of the Peter G. Watson Living Trust appears as a subsurface owner on the
subsurface owner list on Map 9-5 and on page 13 of Section 2.03. However, the
subsurface area is not denoted on Map 9-5. Please revise accordingly.
BRL - Peter G Watson Living Trust was added to Map 9-5 (#1 S in Section
29).
