DMG is now prepared to approve the revision. The
only purpose of the revision is to add to the permit's reclamation plan the option of
regrading and revegetating the 3.3-acre gravel pad at the Oak Creek entrance, should
the Edna Mine not obtain county approval for leaving the pad in its current graveled
condition.
The revision does not cover the area where the existing building is located next to Oak
Creek. The permit requires removal of the building and revegetating of that area,
although immediate removal has not been required since the operator is pursuing county
approval of leaving the building after bond release.
If I do not hear from you by July 9, 2004, then I will assume Routt County Planning has
no comments prior to DMG issuing a proposed decision to approve TR-43. Of course,
you may comment during the public comment period after the proposed decision is
issued.
rr>+~
Tom Kaldenbach
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
