ceased underground, some stockpiled raw coal was being processed through the wash plant at the
time of our visit and therefore the refuse pile was active. This additional surface disturbance is well
within the 5-acre limitation established in the March 20, 20001ease agreement.
It is understood that Energy Fuels intends on maintaining the mine and facilities in anon-producing
status for the neaz term. This requires that at least once within each 90-day period the mine fans aze
turned on and an appropriate underground inspection is made of the air return entries and ventilation
seals. Pump stations also would be visited at this time to ascertain the amount of water inflow being
experienced as well as to observe general ground conditions.
The photographs attached to this report were taken during the site visit and illustrate the condition
of the typical mine workings and certain surface facilities at that time. It is my opinion that closure
of the mine is being performed in a workmanlike manner.
Sincerely, --~(
~AIV
~~~ . / J
Landy Stinnett
-2-
