~~~
ENERGY COMPANY
P.O. 80X 467 GOLDEN, COLORA00 80403
May 5, 2004
Mr. Byron Walker
Division of Minerals & Geology
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
fc -~ 1
RECE~VE®
MAY 0 71004
Re: Keenesburg Mine
Phase I and R Bond Release
Completed 1996
Deaz Byron:
~ivisian of Minerals and Geology
Here is a copy of the map that I found when I finally located our copy of the Phase 1/II
Bond Release Application. The subject areas would have been a little bit easier to
recognize if I had been able to provide you with a color copy. In any event, all the
shaded azeas shown were submitted for Phase I bond release. The areas with the
additional shaded border were also considered for Phase II bond release. Let me know if
this helps or adds confusion to your deliberations.
By the way, the 11 acre pazcel in the northwest comer of the Permit Area was part of the
Phase I application, as we discussed.
Sincere
onald W. MacDonald
Manager, Energy Services
enclosure
