It is anticipated that the mining depth of the exchange acreage will be consistent with
Phase I. Minims eftirisarea will irwolve the extension of the reservoir created in Phase I
and will be consistent with mining methods employed throughout all of the Bayfield No.l
Pit.
Reclamation, as was approved for Phase II, will provide for 3 to 1 slopes along the
reservoir embankinentwithintpe exchange-acreage.
Consistent with the plans for the withdrawn area, the owner holds water rights adequate
to mitigate any evaporative loss within the exchange area. A thorough review of this
adequacy will be condacted priorto mining-operations.
The owner/ operator thinks this revision will provide for a more aestheticstlly pleasing,
less impacting post use than excavating astand-alone reservoir as currently permitted for
in Phase II.
Please contact me should there be questions or comments regarding this ra;quest.
Sincerely,
Matthew Barnett, Secretary
Gosney & Sons, Inc.
Owner and Operator
Encl.
