EXHIBIT C <br />Mining Plan <br />The Schuler Terracing Company Gravel Pit Site will utilize an existing gate that enters <br />the current gravel pit on Simla Hwy.. The site is located approximately 10 feet from <br />Simla Hwy so all truck and tractor access to the mine will be via existing gate. The <br />mining at the Schuler Terracing Gravel Pit Site will proceed as follows. <br />Reclamation will occur at the end of mining operations. <br />Excavation of the site will proceed as follows <br />1. The native topsoil will be removed to a depth of 6" and will stockpiled at the <br />location indicated on the Site Map (Exhibit E) <br />2. The stockpile of topsoil will then be seeded per SCD recommendations to deter <br />erosion. <br />3, A waste rock pile will be created at the location indicated on the Site Map. Please <br />note that there is no waste rock anticipated. <br />4, Material removal <br />a. Front end loaders will fill trucks with the sand and gravel, removing the <br />material to the finished contour <br />b. As the final contours are developed, we will be left with less than 3:1 <br />slopes <br />c. All waste rock will be stockpiled at the appropriate location <br />d. Any refuse or toxic material uncovered at the site will be identified and <br />the El Paso County Hazmat (719-390-5555; 205 South Cascade <br />Ave. , Colorado Springs, CO 80917) will be contacted to determine <br />the appropriate remediation process. <br />e. There will be no explosives used <br />£ There will be no water used <br />g. The site will have no impact with any water source (surface or <br />subterranean) <br />h. Existing Storm Water Permit will be amended as required. <br />
