This short road access was brought to our attention by Mr. Frank
Galvan of the Colorado Department of Transportation. The attached Access Permit to the Colorado
Department of Transportation (CDOT), shows the request MCC submitted to the CDOT for the access
permit. The CDOT will need to approve this access permit before MCC may proceed with
construction. Mr. Dan Roussin with CDOT in Grand Junction, CO, is reviewing our permit request.
We expect approval to be granted by Apri16, 2007.
This short road will allow for better site distance by vehicle drivers and safe highway access ingress
and egress.
The current access to Box Canyon will be reclaimed after approval is granted by CDOT for the new
light-use road access.
If you have questions, please contact either Mike Peacock at 970.929.2301, or me at 970.929.2238.
Since y,
my A. be
Environm tal Engineer
Enclosure: CDRMS Revision Form, CDOT Access Permit Application, Permit No. 305150.
Cc: Doug Nolte
Mike Peacock
