Box 46667
Denver, Colorado 80201
Dear Mr. Fulton:
On February 19, 2004, this office received the Edna Strip Mine Application Bond Release No. 8
for DMGPermit No- C-1980-001. We have reviewed this document and it concurs with the
report's findings that the Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Company has complied with and met
all reclamation obligations under this permit's requirements.
The proposed Phases I, II, and III (FINAL) Bond Release for Conveyor Corridor and Goat Trail
Road, and partial Phase I (facilities removal only) in part of Oak Creek Facilities Area will not
conflict with federal lease terms and therefore the Bureau of Land Management has no objection
to CDMG's Decision on the Edna Strip Mine Application Bond Release Application No. 8.
If you have any auestions; please contact Robert Emst at (9701 826-5079.
Sincerely,

fw John E.
