1 • • <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division proposes that an application to <br />renew a valid, existing permit to conduct coal mining and reclamation <br />operations submitted by the Satt Creek Mining Co, for the McClave Canvnn Mine <br />be approved with conditions. <br />The McClave Canyon mining operr,tion is located in Garfield County, <br />approximately 19.5 miles from Loma, Colorado. The mine is an underground <br />operation with an anticipated maximum production capacity of 123,000 tons per <br />year. The coal :o be mined is federally owned, and the surface to be affected <br />is federally and privately owned. The permit area encompasses approximately <br />248 acres in Sections 15, 16, 21, & 22, T7S, R102W, 6th P.M. <br />This proposed approval decision is based on a finding that the proposed <br />operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101, et seg., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision including stipulations are on file for public <br />inspection at the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 215 <br />Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, 80203, and at the <br />County Clerk's Office in Garfield County, 109 8th Street, Suite 303, Glenwood <br />Springs, Colorado. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by <br />the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such reouest must be made within <br />thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in <br />writing, and must stale with reasonable specificity the reasons for the <br />reouest and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />7072E ~~ <br /> <br />
