With exception of the holes drilled in 1991 the drill
Sholes on the lease were drilled by A.T. Massey Coal Co. in
1978, prior to Twin Pines Investment. Most of the holes
drilled were found during reconnaissance of the area during
the application period. All of the holes located had been
sealed with concrete. In all probability a completion report
has been filed with the Division by A.T. Massey.
Subsidence - Rules 2.05.6(6) and 4.20
29). Affected area and Undermined Areas Within the Angle of
Draw Associated with Subsidence - Map No. TP-2 is being
updated to included the information requested.
30 ). Evidence to Landowners - Giulanno & Sons Coal Company
have been furnished with a Mine Map every 6 months since
mining commenced on the lease. The maps showed the extent of
mining to that date and projections for the next 6 month to
a year. The Giulanno's are very familiar with subsidence
related to the Brookside Coal Seam as they had years of
experience mining the adjacent Cedar Canon Coal Mine.
Bonding - Rule 3
31).to 34). The Bonding Calculations for the mine have been
reviewed and appear to be quite conservative for reclamation
of the Mine Site and Coal Sales Site. Costs were included in
the Bond for removal of concrete pads at the Coal Sales
Site, equipment and facilities at the Mine Site that were
never installed, sufficient equipment time to rip compacted
road beds prior to final grading, and extensive sealing of
entries which may not be required. Twin Pines Investment
feels that the existing bond is more than adequate to
complete reclamation of the sites. Bond calculations will be
again reviewed if a plan can be developed for post mining
utilization of the sites as they now exist.
Mis ce 11 aneous
35).
