Long <br />Division Dueno. <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />January 7, 1993, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal <br />mining operations by Western Fuels-Utah, 405 Urban Street, Suite 305, <br />Lakewood, Colorado 80228, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. <br />All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations <br />promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the <br />Deserado Mine. The revision addresses the construction of a new refuse <br />storage area, the associated sediment pond and other facilities. <br />The Deserado mine is located approximately ten miles northeast of Rangely, <br />Colorado. The affected area is located in portions of Sections 22, 23 and 27, <br />Township 3 North, Range 101 West of the 6th P.M., in Rio Blanco County, and is <br />shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rangely NE. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public <br />inspection at the Rio Blanco County Courthouse, Box 599, Meeker, Colorado. <br />Written comments may be submitted and additional information may be obtained <br />from the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. <br />Sincerely, <br />B . ~. ~~. <br />Barbara L.
