iii iiiiiiiiniiiiii
999
STATE OF COLORADO
Roy Romer, Gove
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
FRED R. BANTA, Director
March 21, 1989
Mr. E. Peter tAatthies
President and CEO
New Castle Energy Corporation
9137 E. Mineral Circle
Englewood, CO 80112
Dear Mr. Matthies:
It has been brought to my attention that the New Castle Energy Corporation, as
landowners of the area that has been disturbed by mining activities, may wish
to leave in a portion of the haul road and some of the bench areas rather than
reclaim the entire area.
In order for the Division to complete a Findings document on your proposed
reclamation-only permit, we request you submit, at your earliest possible
convenience, a specific proposal which addresses these topics. The proposal
should include an accurate, scaled drawing showing the portions to be
reclaimed and the areas which are to be left "as is". If no response is
received, the Division will proceed with the current reclamation plan.
In addition to the above items, the Division also requests a detailed
timetable of scheduled reclamation. This will save time in the processing of
the permit by negating the inclusion of additional stipulations.
Your timely responses to these matters will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
~ ~~
Harryanney
Physical Scientist
HBR/bim
cc: Jim Stevens
4428E
215 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
