Bond Release Application No. 6 (SL-6)
Dear Mr. Fulton:
Basin Resources, Inc. has applied for a bond release at the Golden Eagle Mine. The bond release
application was found complete by this Division on September 29, 2006. The application is requesting
a Phase III bond release for 51.5 acres of reclaimed land previously Phase II released and a Phase I, II,
and III bond release for 5.6 acres of former ponds 3 and 4. The applicant is also requesting a liability
release of all affected areas overlying underground workings north of highway 12. Excluded entirely
from this request are 1.2 acres known as the NW-1 airshaft. The dollar amount requested to be
released is $105,358.49. The surface ownership is Private, and the coal mined was Federal and private.
We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon
as it has been scheduled. A proposed decision on the application will be issued within sixty (60) days
of our inspection.
