Long Division Duc•OOr The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on April 25, 1996, an application to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Coal Ridge No.l Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. We neglected to notify your agency earlier; however, we are still accepting comments from interested parties. The Coal Ridge Mine is in the final stages of reclamation, therefore no coal excavation will occur at this mine under this renewed permit. The applicant proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately three miles east of New Castle, Colorado. The permit and loadout areas are further described as follows: Township 6 South, Rance 91 West, 6th P.M. Section 1: Those lands in the NE;, yet south of County Road 3, Lots 3 and 4, S~, S~ NW, Section 12: N~ NE; Township 6 South, Range 90 West, 6th P.M. Section 5: S~ SW; Section 6: All lands south of County Road 335 and a strip of land approximately 400 feet long and 25 feet wide which extends north from the county road to the Colorado, originating just east of the mine entrance road.
