Crossing number 1 has two 81 " X 59" culverts. Crossing number
2 is a low water crossing which is comprised of six 36" culverts encased in concrete.
Crossing number 3 is a 72" culvert. The DMG has asked Powderhorn to revise its
reclamation plan to address removal of the referenced culverts. The culverts will be
removed and low water crossings installed unless documentation is provided to the DMG
to demonstrate the road would better serve the future public use with the culverts in place
and that provisions for prudent future maintenance are assured.
The three stream crossings are located on the Coal Canyon Access road on Powderhorn's
land. The BLM has an easement for the road. Is the BLM interested in keeping the stream
crossings in place and providing for prudent future maintenance of the stream crossings?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~ti:~"' _ -
J.
