iiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiii <br />Public Notice 999 <br />Bowie Resources Limited, P.O. Box 483, Paonia, CO, 81428, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its approved <br />Bowie No. 2 Mine, mining permit No. C-96-083. The proposed revision provides for the <br />installation of two gob vent boreholes and the associated construction of light use roads and <br />drill sites. The two gob vent borehole drill sites and associated light use roads are located <br />on surface owned by Bowie Resources Limited and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). <br />Right of entry on the BLM managed land is authorized by Federal Coal Lease COC-61209. <br />The light use road construction will disturb approximately 2.3 acres. The two drill sites will <br />disturb approximately 1.0 acres for a total disturbance of 3.3 acres. <br />All of the mine facilities except a pump station and sediment pond are located north of old <br />State Highway 133 near the town of Bowie, CO. The Fire Mountain Canal is located south <br />of the mine facilities. The railroad and the North Fork of the Gunnison River are also located <br />south of the mine facilities.
